His personal blend of Electro, Bassline, Tech, and Progressive House always sends the dance floors into a frenzy every time he plays. Although Aaron has skills on the decks, his biggest fan draw has always been his selfless attitude towards the music he plays. His devotion to up-and-coming artists and the individual attention he gives to fans makes him a popular figure in many electronic circles.
DJ Aaron Jackson got his start spinning at an after hours industrial and new wave club at only 15 years old in 1988. Through the late 80’s he moved through acid-house and new beat, and quickly became one of the largest importers of new beat music in his home state of Texas. Although always important in the south-west scene, it wasn’t until moving to Albuquerque that he found his niche. In the early 90’s he enjoyed a number of residencies, appearances with DJ's such as Ron D Core and Jon Bishop, and a lasting friendship with Scott and Jason of Deepsky.
In the mid 90’s Aaron’s focus shifted to producing, and he found himself working on numerous projects ranging from new age to jazz, and soundtracks to commercials. A passion developed for music production during this time, and his first original music project, Universal Beat Embassy, was born. 1997 brought the creation of Collective Conscience, a world wide collaboration of DJ’s that included DJ H geek, releveleR, and Steven Koopmanschap. The next big project came with the groundbreaking style “Speedbass”, and involved Aaron’s new project Ikkimoo. Once off the ground, Ikkimoo had a worldwide following. Ikkimoo, Universal Beat Embassy and various other production projects as well as DJing kept Aaron busy through 2001, when he decided to take some time off to focus on working with local talent. But in 2005, the draw of electronic music became too much, and DJ Aaron Jackson was reborn. He came back strong with the Svengali Project, several self named house remixes/releases and once again decided to poke fun of the club scene with a brand new Ikkimoo album. This also marked his return to the decks with several weekly residencies and playing events all over the country.
Bringing us to the present day, Aaron Jackson has played in recent years with Tiesto, J. Scott G., and Frankie Vega to name a few, as well as, releasing original tracks and providing remixes for artists such as Billboard charting Jacinta. His passion for playing exciting music becomes obvious whether behind the decks or in the studio. Always focused on collaboration and growth, Aaron is continually striving to make a difference in the lives of DJ’s, artists and producers everywhere.
